Bio: Some people say I am stubborn while other prefer to call me determined. Either way I have managed to cultivate this trait to excel at cycling. I began my athletic career as a x-c runner and skier in Alaska. The pursuit of x-c skiing in college led me to the University of New Hampshire. I enjoyed x-c ski racing at college but during my sophomore year a friend talked me into joining the UNH cycling team. The rest as they say is history. I quickly learned the tactics and strategy required for cycling and after a year of collegiate cycling for the University of New Hampshire I was competing at the highest level at collegiate nationals. The friends I developed and the lessons I learned from collegiate cycling have stayed with me and provide the foundation for my cycling aspirations.

Once school ended the desire to continue racing led to another avenue of cycling, United States Cycling Federation (USCF) races. I was initially recruited to race for Pearless Insurance and have since been on the teams of Red Hook, Chiropractic/Papa Wheelies, Hayden/Frontier and the University of Oregon all the while working my way up the ranks to the category 2 level. The personal struggles that I have endured while racing my bike have taught me more about myself then any classroom situation ever could. Cycling is an incredibly difficult sport that requires guts, strength, strategy and above all determination. I value the lifestyle that is required to ride or race bicycles and I hope to share this passion with others. I look forward to pushing myself to the limits this coming year. I am grateful for your support and I'll see you out on the road.
